Sorted !

Well this is where it`s all gonna happen in the new year. Was sick of having a shed which was so full of stuff I couldnt actually get inside it !
At least now I have somewhere to sieve compost and do mixes etc instead of doing it outside when it finally stops raining.
All I need now is a dart board and a fridge !

Hi everyone. This is my 1st blog so I`m guessing an introduction is in order.

My name is pete and I come from the north of England (Cumbria to be exact) I have been growing fruit and vegetables for around 10 years both at home and on the allotment for the past 6 years.
I stumbled into giant pumpkin growing a few years ago and managed a PB of 749 pounds but found it to be an absolute slog. This far north, the temperatures dont really hold up that well especially at night and I found it difficult to compete. For this reason, I decided to have a go at growing for show this year. I did a couple of local shows entering stump carrots and large marrows and did pretty well. I have decided to have a proper go at it next year so this blog will detail me floundering about making loads of mistakes while everyone laughs their ti*s off !
Currently, I`m sitting at the computer looking at the rain and wondering when it`s gonna stop. I need to get my tunnel rebuilt after it got totally mullered in the high winds we had before Christmas.
